The Sparxity rebrand, explained

SpiNNcloud started out building neuromorphic, brain-inspired computer systems. In its release the company describes itself as a leader in sparse-native computing: systems that only compute the parts of a model or simulation that matter, instead of treating every calculation the same. The system installed at Jülich, named JUBIS, will run sparse machine learning models and large HPC simulations.

Co-founder and CEO Hector Gonzalez said: "Our rebrand focuses entirely on the sparse-native approach as a practical foundation for the next generation of AI infrastructure." The release gives no studio credit.

The SpiNNcloud wordmark was set in a rounded cyan sans, with the two capital Ns drawn as curved strokes. The Sparxity wordmark uses a plainer dark slate sans, and the x is replaced by a small grid of short bars and dots.

In short: In 2026 SpiNNcloud renamed itself Sparxity and replaced its cyan wordmark with a dark slate wordmark built around a grid-like x.
