The CTF Media & Entertainment rebrand, explained
The company is listed in Hong Kong under stock code 1097. In August 2026 it changed its name from i-CABLE Communications Limited to CTF Media & Entertainment Limited, and its shares began trading as CTFME on Aug 28. The new logos followed in an exchange announcement on Oct 15, 2026, which adopts them from that date for reports, announcements, circulars, promotional materials and the website at ctfme.com.
According to Marketing-Interactive, the mark is built from the letters M and E, for media and entertainment. Set side by side, two identical letterforms leave a forward-facing triangle in the negative space that reads as a play symbol. The old logo paired a red box holding a lowercase i with a box of red cable rings, above the name 有線寬頻 i-CABLE in gray.
"Our new corporate logo encapsulates CTFME’s shared vision for the future," said Ivy Wong, the company's chief executive. "We believe media and entertainment are not separate disciplines. The integrated ‘ME’ logo signifies that our creative philosophy centers on the individual audience member’s entertainment experience."
Wong told Marketing-Interactive that the logo reflects five core pillars: the i-CABLE telecom and broadband network, the HOY Media Network of free-to-air channels and its streaming platform, live events, retail and e-commerce, and integrated marketing. She did not disclose what the rebrand cost. No design studio has been named.
In short: i-CABLE became CTF Media & Entertainment and swapped its red boxes for an ME monogram with a play symbol in the negative space.
