The n8n rebrand, explained

n8n introduced its brand refresh at In The Loop, its first major conference, held in Berlin on 14 October 2026. Founder and chief executive Jan Oberhauser explained the change in a post on the n8n community forum and in a blog post published on 20 October. The refresh covers a new logo, a new typeface and a refined colour system, and it is rolling out across the product, the website, the community and events.

According to Oberhauser, the old logo was built around a simple idea, connected nodes, which fit a tool for linking one thing to another. Today people use n8n to build workflows and AI agents, and he wrote that the new logo is less about showing a connection and more about showing the activity that connection makes possible. He called the update a zhush, not a rebuild, and said the pink stays, refined a little and joined by a set of greys.

The old symbol was a pink line drawing of three small circles in a row that split into two branches, set next to a lowercase n8n wordmark. The new symbol is a solid pink shape of three crosses joined in a row. The brand guidelines say the nodes now appear in the negative space, with eight connection points and eight nodes as a nod to the 8 in n8n. The wordmark next to it has changed too, with heavier and rounder letters.

In a write-up of the opening keynote, developer Maxime Lenne reported that the new identity was unveiled on stage and summed it up this way: the old logo celebrated the nodes, the new one celebrates the space between them. Oberhauser acknowledged in his post that some users would miss the old logo and said that even he needed time to get used to it.

The new mark is more distinctive than the old one, which looked like many other diagrams of a workflow. It is also more abstract, and the eight nodes hidden in the negative space are a clever detail that few people will spot without being told. Keeping the pink was the right call, because the colour is what most people recognise anyway.

In short: From drawing the nodes to drawing what happens between them.
