The Anaheim Ducks rebrand, explained
The Ducks unveiled the new logo with new home and away jerseys on 26 June 2024. The team said it followed years of deliberation and fan feedback, and that the crest was inspired by the original primary design of the Mighty Ducks.
In the release, the mask gets "a dynamic, aggressive orange eye", an eyebrow with "a more rounded, aggressive curve" and gold accents meant to suggest the shimmer of the county's beaches. Orange became the primary colour of the uniforms, helmets included.
The stylised D that echoed a duck's foot, the primary logo from 2014 to 2024, was refined and kept as a secondary logo on the jersey shoulders, NHL.com reported.
In short: The mask came back, in orange.
Quote
“The Ducks are a symbol of Orange County, and our pivot to orange with an updated, iconic logo encompasses our past, present and future.”
