The Pringles rebrand, explained

Kellogg announced the refresh on 2 December 2020, saying Pringles had updated its can for the first time in 20 years with bold hues and a clean design. The marketing team spent two years on research and design.

According to the release, the mascot was streamlined to better highlight the flavours and show a wider range of emotions, with a more dynamic mustache, sharper bow tie, sparkling eyes and expressive eyebrows. Marketing-Interactive noted that Mr. P lost his hair.

The new logo first appeared on the Scorchin' range that December and across all brand communications in early 2021. Marketing Dive placed it among several food brands simplifying their packaging that year.

In short: Mr. P loses his hair.
