The GE Vernova rebrand, explained
GE announced the name on 18 July 2022, bringing its power, renewable energy, digital and energy financial services businesses together under one brand ahead of a planned spin-off.
According to GE, the name combines "ver", from verde and verdant, with "nova", from the Latin for new. The company kept the GE Monogram and gave the new brand an "evergreen" colour.
Interbrand, which worked on the identity, describes a wide, capitalized logo typeface meant to convey movement. GE Vernova began trading as a separate company in April 2024.
