## The rebrand, explained

The hospital says the starting point was a new look with a familiar feel. Before the design work began, about 200 patients, staff and partners shared what Slingeland means to them. Those insights formed the basis for the new style, designed by Rich Dust x Eric de Haas.

The circle is the base of the new style, a soft, human shape that the hospital says subtly refers to cells in the body. The half circles stand for the different areas of expertise within Slingeland. Between the circles a human figure can be seen, reaching out to others.

The new style is appearing step by step, growing along with the move to the new hospital.

The old logo was white: a loose S and Z monogram between two thin slanted lines, beside the words Slingeland Ziekenhuis. The new logo is a soft pink: a square symbol made of half circles, beside a large Slingeland wordmark without the word Ziekenhuis.

In short: In 2026 Slingeland Ziekenhuis swapped its white monogram for a pink logo built from half circles.
