## The rebrand, explained

Mascom launched the new identity in Gaborone on Oct 16, 2026, with a refreshed logo, brand expression and positioning anchored by the tagline Always You. The company says the change signals its move from a telecommunications company to a technology company, building on its network with digital platforms, business solutions, and financial and lifestyle services.

The old logo put the name in navy capitals inside a rounded yellow box, with a red swoosh underneath and the line Number 1 because of you. The new wordmark is set in black lowercase, with the o drawn as a thick yellow ring and Always you set beneath it.

"Connection has never been simply about technology. It is about what technology enables: opening a business to new markets, giving a young person access to opportunity, helping a customer access a service, and enabling an organisation to operate differently," said chief executive Dzene Makhwade-Seboni.

The refreshed brand appears across Mascom's channels from Oct 16, 2026, with a phased rollout over the following months across digital platforms, shops, advertising and signage. It comes with a revamped Mascom Online portal and ticketing systems in selected shops. Mascom has not named a design studio.
