## The rebrand, explained

Maximor came out of stealth in September 2025 with a $9 million seed round led by Foundation Capital. It makes AI agents that plug into a company's ERP, banking, payroll and billing systems and take on accounting work such as reconciliations and the month-end close.

In the rebrand release the company says finance already runs on hyphens, in processes like order-to-cash, procure-to-pay and record-to-report, and that a hyphen both connects and modifies. Co-founder and CEO Ramnandan Krishnamurthy said: "A multi-hyphenate refuses to pick one lane. So do we. We needed a name for the company we’ve become." The release also introduced the tagline "Finance that runs itself, so you can sprint ahead." No design studio is named.

The old logo was a dark green circular symbol made of curved segments around a square, next to the name Maximor in rounded lowercase letters. The new logo is black, with a symbol of three vertical bars cut by small notches and the name Hyphenate in thin geometric capitals with gaps in several letters.

In short: In 2026 Maximor became Hyphenate and swapped its green circular symbol for a black symbol of notched bars and a thin all-caps wordmark.
