## The rebrand, explained

For over 12 years Datamaran's product centered on ESG issue management. The release says boardroom priorities have shifted, and that risk, legal and senior leaders now sit at the table alongside sustainability teams.

According to the release, the new identity moves away from the sustainability-sector visual language Datamaran launched with. It introduces a design system built around signals, evidence and continuous monitoring. The release names no design studio.

The old logo was all black: a sail shape inside a thick ring with small breaks, next to the Datamaran wordmark. The new logo keeps the same idea and the wordmark, with a thinner ring and a cleaner sail. On the new website it appears in a pale sand color on deep red.
