## The rebrand, explained

The charging buffalo over crossed sabres is the Sabres' original emblem, but the version in use before 2020 was drawn in navy with silver accents. On 11 August 2020 the club unveiled its "Return to Royal" logo and home and away uniforms for the 2020-21 season.

SportsLogos.Net described the new primary as a simplified, modernised version of the original, with the silver removed and the stitching details carried over from the 50th-season crest. The uniforms use royal blue, gold and white.
